The Learning District is all about knowledge, education and inspiration. You’ll find schoolchildren, students and artists here, as well as homes for young professionals, temporary and permanent, both national and international.

Hotel Jansen & De Alliantie

Status: under construction

Students from the Netherlands and abroad will make their home, for a shorter or longer period, in this building. It will include a gym, laundry café and around 280 student flats of De Alliantie, together with 200 short-stay apartments in Hotel Jansen for international students.

 

Design District

 

The bustling, creative heart of Bajeskwartier is a great place to live. In buildings that combine design with sustainability, with the iconic Groene Toren (Green Tower) as your back garden.

The Cardinal

Status: in preparation

This unique, wooden building accommodates around 100 apartments. With a floor area of about 50 m2 and a layout with one or two rooms, these homes are ideal for starters.

 

Central District

 

In the lush, green Central District, all kinds of homes will be created in bold and modern buildings. Owner-occupied homes in different designs and sizes, but social rented homes too.

The Robin

Status: on sale

At first sight, the Robin building appears to consist of two parts; a high, slender tower and a broad, elegant foot. The building will have 129 owner-occupied apartments ranging from 45 to 116m2. In the heart of the Central District, a place for the genuine urbanite. The CompaNanny daycare centre will also be based here.
  • Social rented homes: approx. 110 Non-subsidized rented homes: approx. 75

The Starling

Status: under construction

Around 185 rented homes will be created here, with a wide range of layouts and sizes. The divide will be approx. 110 social rented apartments and 75 owner-occupied homes. There will also be a health centre, sports and fitness facilities and the best ice cream parlour in Amsterdam.

The Ruby

Status: on sale

Whoever wants to live in an elegant residential tower block will have plenty of choice in the Ruby building. A total of around 103 high-ceilinged and light owner-occupied apartments will be available in the building, ranging from approx. 55 m2 to approx. 150 m2. Residents will share two beautiful green roof terraces.
  • Social rented apartments

The Finch

Status: under construction

Around 145 social rented apartments of De Alliantie will be built here. On the ground floor of the building there will be a green atrium and space for activities of the Healthy Living Lab.

 

Amstel District

 

In the Amstel District, you will live in iconic buildings in a relaxed world with gardens and water. Modern and sustainable, with everything you need at hand.

  • Non-subsidized rented apartments

The Jay

Status: on sale

At a beautiful location at one end of Bajeskwartier, the Jay will be built with approx. 135 owner-occupied apartments. A spacious and attractive communal ‘living room’ will provide a sense of community for residents.

The Oriole

Status: in preparation

This beautifully designed tower accommodates 36 luxury apartments, varying in size from 85 m2 to 190 m2. All apartments in The Oriole have at least two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious terrace.

The Emerald

Status: in preparation

This building is designed for families. Large or small, young or old. Around 120 owner-occupied apartments ranging from 45 to 245 m2 are flexible in their layout so that every family will find their perfect home here. Communal spaces with adjoining gardens have sports pitches and playgrounds.
